

Mr. Langford focuses on trial court litigation, including personal injury and wrongful death, insurance coverage, commercial transactions and cargo claims disputes.

Michael B. Langford is a partner who focuses his practice in the area of trial court litigation. In addition to representing many other clients in the motor carrier industry, Mr. Langford serves as chief Indiana legal counsel for the largest truckload motor carrier in North America. Mr. Langford has spoken before numerous transportation industry groups on topics ranging from avoiding negligent hiring and retention claims to indemnification clause issues. He is Vice Chairman of the Transportation Section of the Indiana Defense Trial Counsel Association and is a member of the advisory board for truckinglaw.com.

Mr. Langford graduated from Wabash College (B.A. cum laude) and the Indiana School of Law – Bloomington (J.D.). At the latter institution, Mr. Langford was elected to the Order of the Barristers, won the prestigious Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition, and was also named “Best Speaker” of the Moot Court Competition.

Admitted to the Indiana bar in 1994, Mr. Langford is admitted to practice before all Indiana state and federal courts. He is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations, DTCI, the Defense Research Institute, and the Trucking Insurance Defense Association.
