

Mr. Finklea counsels clients and litigates disputes concerning both labor and employment matters. He is also a member of the Scopelitis firm's appellate practice team.

A. Jack Finklea regularly counsels employers on labor matters including compliance with common construction wage statutes, reactions to picketing and organizational activity, the defense of unfair labor practice charges, and union avoidance techniques. In employment matters, Mr. Finklea has experience in drafting handbooks and policies, defending discrimination charges and lawsuits, and assisting employers in wage and hour issues, including government audits and the defense of collective action lawsuits. Mr. Finklea also practices in the appellate arena by spotting and developing issues for treatment by state and federal appellate courts.

Mr. Finklea graduated from Indiana University–Purdue University-Indianapolis (B.A.) and the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis (J.D. summa cum laude).

Admitted to the Indiana bar in 2000, Mr. Finklea is licensed to practice before all Indiana state and federal courts and the 7th and 8th Circuit Courts of Appeal. He is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations and the Seventh Circuit Bar Association.
