

Mr. Shane's primary area of practice is workers' compensation defense, representing insurance carriers, self-insured businesses and third-party administrators. His practice also includes tort insurance defense along with the enforcement of clients' subrogation rights.

Victor P. Shane is managing partner in the Chicago office and devotes his practice to workers' compensation defense and insurance law. His professional experience includes three years as Assistant State's Attorney for Cook County (1984-87) and four years as staff counsel for the Chicago Transit Authority (1987-91), where he worked primarily in the areas of tort defense and workers' compensation. Mr. Shane has previously lectured in the area of workers' compensation for the Chicago Bar Association under its Continuing Legal Education Program. He also serves as a board member for the Chinese American Service League.

Mr. Shane is a graduate of DePaul University (B.S.) and the University of Santa Clara (J.D.).

Admitted to the Illinois bar in 1984, Mr. Shane is a member of the Chicago, Illinois State and American Bar Associations and the Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Chinese American Bar Association, of which he was President from 1992-94.
