

Mr. Kofkin's practice emphasizes the nationwide representation of clients in the transportation and related industries, handling a full range of labor and employment matters. His representation includes the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, countering union organizing campaigns, labor arbitration, and defense of claims under the Multiemployer Pension Plan Amendments Act of 1980, as well as practice before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Illinois Department of Human Rights, among other state and federal agencies, involving labor practices, wrongful discharge or discrimination claims.

Leonard R. Kofkin is a partner who has counseled management in labor, employment and transportation law matters for more than 40 years. He is an active member of the Transportation Lawyers Association, has held many of its executive officer positions, has
often spoken at transportation conferences and seminars, and has been awarded the TLA's Distinguished Service and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Mr. Kofkin graduated from Northwestern University (B.S.) and the Northwestern University School of Law (J.D.). He also earned an M.M. degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, majoring in business finance.

Admitted to practice in Illinois in 1958 and before numerous U.S. District Courts and Courts of Appeal, Mr. Kofkin is a member of the American and Illinois State Bar Associations and the Transportation Lawyers Association.
