

Mr. Mann advises and defends trucking and transportation logistics companies and trade associations regarding a broad range of commercial disputes, regulatory encroachments, and antitrust and trade issues. He has litigated transportation matters spanning freight loss-and-damage claims to complex tax and transportation collection issues.

Kim D. Mann has served as outside regulatory counsel to one of the "big three" (now "big two") LTL motor carriers for the past 15 years. He also acts as general counsel to five trade associations in the trailer-manufacturing and glass-and-glazing industries. Regularly appearing in state and federal court litigation, Mr. Mann also represents clients before the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the Federal Highway Administration. He is a past President and long-time Director of the Transportation Lawyers Association and is a recipient of the TLA's Distinguished Service and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Mr. Mann graduated from Yale University (B.A.) and Vanderbilt University (J.D.).

Admitted to the Ohio bar in 1965, Virginia in 1966 and the District of Columbia bar in 1986, Mr. Mann is licensed to practice before the state courts in those states; the U.S. District Courts in Virginia and D.C.; the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the District of Columbia, Second, Fifth, and Eleventh Circuits; and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association; the Canadian Transport Lawyers Association (former Director); the American Bar Association; and the Bar Associations of the District of Columbia, Virginia and Ohio.
