

Mr. Tauscher focuses his practice on civil litigation for various segments of the transportation industry, concentrating in the areas of employment, workers' compensation, personal injury, cargo claims and damage, and freight charge collections.

Michael J. Tauscher is a partner in the firm with over 25 years experience representing and advising transportation companies and other businesses in federal, state and local courts and administrative agencies. He has spoken to various industry groups and at seminars on topics such as wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, workers' compensation, freight claims and no fault insurance.

Mr. Tauscher graduated from Michigan State University (B.S., with high honors) and Wayne State University (J.D., cum laude) where he was a member of Law Review and an assistant Survey editor.

Admitted to the bars of Michigan and Florida, Mr. Tauscher is also licensed to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and all Michigan federal and state courts. He is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association (Labor, Freight Claims, Motor Carrier, Casualty Litigation and Commercial & Business Litigations Committees), the Defense Research Institute (Trucking, Employment, Workers' Compensation, and Fidelity and Surety Committees), the Conference of Freight Counsel, the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), the State Bar of Michigan (Labor & Employment, Workers' Compensation Sections), and the Florida Bar (Labor & Employment and Out of State Practice Sections).
