Ms. Sandberg advises motor carriers, logistics companies and shippers in transportation regulatory compliance and motor carrier safety issues.


Annette M. Sandberg is Of Counsel with the firm's Spokane, WA office.  She has served as the Administrator and Deputy Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and Deputy Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, United States Department of Transportation, (2002-2006).  Previously, Ms. Sandberg served as a commissioned officer in the Washington State Patrol for 18 years.  She was appointed by Governors Gary Locke and Mike Lowry to serve as the Chief of the Washington State Patrol, (1995-2001). 

Ms. Sandberg serves as the independent monitor for Forest River and is the Department of Transportation expert for the Independent Monitor for Toyota. She is nationally recognized in the field of DOT safety.  She is a frequent speaker at transportation industry seminars.
