Mr. Jackson’s transportation law practice is focused on counseling clients on independent contractor/owner-operator arrangements, transportation and logistics contracting and operations structure, regulatory compliance, intermodal issues, third-party logistics (3PL) and workers’ compensation insurance premium audit disputes.

Jeffrey S. Jackson counsels clients on a wide array of transportation-related issues, including independent contractor/owner-operator arrangements, challenges to independent contractor classification, independent contractor reclassification risk mitigation, Federal Leasing Regulations compliance, and contract drafting/reviews. He also advises clients on federal and state regulatory concerns, especially as they relate to transportation entity licensing, operating authorities, and general transportation operations compliance obligations. He also drafts, reviews and negotiates all manner of transportation and logistics-related contracts. Finally, Mr. Jackson has extensive experience defending motor carriers and property brokers in workers’ compensation premium audit disputes.
