Michael D. Reed
Mr. Reed practices in civil defense litigation on behalf of transportation and warehouse clients, including personal injury defense litigation, commercial litigation, insurance disputes, and product liability litigation. He also aids clients before litigation in investigating property damage claims, general liability exposure, and contract review for warehouses. Additionally, Mr. Reed’s practice includes counseling clients in labor disputes and labor litigation, including representing employers in response to ERISA withdrawal liability.
Mr. Reed graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from DePauw University, where he played on the golf team. He received his law degree from DePaul University College of Law. Mr. Reed has successfully defended clients from the transportation industry in state and federal courts across the country, including securing voluntary dismissals and favorable dispositive motion rulings for defense parties. He has also obtained Not-for-Profit status for charitable organizations from the State of Illinois and the Internal Revenue Service.
