Robert's practice focuses on litigation, class actions, and commercial litigation.
Robert A. Rowlett’s practice primarily focuses on litigation in the Class Action Defense and Complex Litigation practice area. Prior to joining the firm, Robert served as a Deputy Attorney General for the Office of the Indiana Attorney General (“OAG”) where he represented the State of Indiana and its agencies, public officials, and employees before state and federal courts. Robert litigated judicial reviews, petitions to enforce, complaints for injunctive relief, tax cases, and high-profile constitutional challenges, among others. Robert was the senior member of the tax practice group, overseeing almost all litigation involving the Indiana Department of State Revenue before the Indiana Tax Court. Robert also regularly served as trial counsel for the Indiana Solicitor General, including managing all phases of discovery for certain high-profile and complex constitutional cases. During his time with the OAG, Robert served as lead counsel on over 200 cases. He also managed the law clerk program for his section of the OAG and served as a mentor for an I-DAG candidate each year, having graduated from that prestigious training program himself.
Robert also volunteers as an Advisory Board Member for the Home of Parent-directed Edification (H.O.P.E.), Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Robert enjoys pickleball, theology, and golf.
