When it came time to decide where I wanted to work as a summer clerk, I made my final decision based on what I felt was the most important factor: the people with whom I would be working. I met a majority of the attorneys during my interview here at the firm, and I felt I knew the ones I did not meet from the stories that the others told during my interview. I made a good decision. There are many great things about SGLH&F, but the biggest factor for me was the genuinely friendly and professional atmosphere that exists here.
I began my experience as a clerk in the summer of 2001. During that summer, I worked with all of the attorneys in the Indianapolis office. I had the opportunity to work with and meet the attorneys from the Chicago and D.C. offices as well. I enjoyed gaining experience in many different areas of the law, but, even more, I enjoyed getting to know everyone here and becoming a part of the SGLH&F culture.
I continued on as a part-time clerk through my last year of law school in Bloomington. The people at SGL&H displayed tremendous flexibility in working with me to determine a schedule that worked for me and for them. This experience only heightened my excitement to join the firm full-time.
